| What: | The 26th annual Franklin Science and Technology Fair |
| When: | Friday through Sunday, April 25-27, 2008 |
| Where: | Chambersburg Area Middle School (CAMS) |
| Why: | Science is fun! |
| Who: | YOU! |
The science fair is open to all students in grades K-12
in Franklin County public, private, home, and cyber
schools. You may pre-register at this website or using the
paper entry form available at your school. Whether you
enter an exhibit or not, you may use the same form to enter
the contest to be held on Saturday afternoon.
The 2008 Franklin Science and Technology Fair will
present a collection of student exhibits, each of which
presents the results of a student.s own independent research
in an area of science or technology. Although students may
enter multiple exhibits if desired, we strongly encourage each
student to put his or her best work into a single exhibit.
You may submit either individual (one-person) or partnered
(two-person) exhibits. Partnered exhibits will be judged and
awarded separately from individual exhibits. In the Primary
and Intermediate divisions (grades K-6), both individual and
partnered exhibits will be eligible for all special awards.
However, in the Junior and Senior divisions (grades 7-12), only
individual exhibits will be eligible for most special awards
and for the Champion and Grand Champion awards.
On Friday afternoon, April 25, participants will check in at the
registration tables at CAMS and set up their exhibits. Judging
of the exhibits will be done Friday evening, and exhibit rooms
will be open to the public on Saturday and Sunday. The contest
will also be conducted Saturday afternoon. Awards will be presented at the awards ceremony on Sunday. Exhibits must be
removed Sunday afternoon.
Be sure to read and understand ALL information on this
website – especially the rules – before you pre-register.
Entries that do not conform to the rules may be disqualified.
Pre-registration is required.
